ABOUT US

WestSide High School

WestSide High School has been serving students who need an alternative to mainstream education since 1985.

Originally known as Wenatchee Valley Alternative High School, the school has called several Wenatchee locations home over the years — from the YWCA to WVC dormitories — before finding its permanent home in the beautifully renovated former Wenatchee Valley College Arts and Music building. It was 28 years in the making, and worth every one of them.

Our Differentiators

Whole Student Learning

We recognize the importance of developing the social, emotional, and physical well-being of every student, fostering a balanced and holistic approach to education.

Academic Support

We foster a culture of high expectations and high support to help students reach their full potential through a curriculum that promotes accountability, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Family Environment

What sets WestSide apart isn't just what we teach — it's how students feel when they walk through the door. Seen. Valued. Belonging. That family environment is the foundation everything else is built on.

Self Paced

Students work at their own pace. Progress depends on effort, not seat time. Each student sets quarterly goals aligned with their graduation date.
